- The East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA)/ SmartMoves Program is a free after-school and summer youth development program for youth ages 5-20. Programs foster diversity, experiential, and hands-on learning in a safe, engaging environment.SmartMoves focuses on building self-esteem through youth development activities that link academic support with mentoring, art, nutrition education, gardening, community service, field trips, and physical education for youth ages 5-18. SmartMoves is a mandatory program for all youth ages 5-13.The site also hosts an organic teaching garden, managed by EOBA's Urban Fresh Gardeners (UFG). The UFG program focuses on preparing teens ages 13-20 for success through exploration of youth run small- business models that integrate creativity, cooperative learning, internship opportunities, career and college readiness, Green Jobs training, life skills, goal development, and community service.
