• Urban Strategies was founded in 2003 with the desire to make a difference within communities in need and improve the health, educational, social, and economic condition of our Nations most disadvantaged populations. Our mission is to connect, resource and tool grassroots organizations to serve children and families in need. We are passionate about our work and mission, and we back that passion up with the skills to effect change in families, neighborhoods, and communities. Throughout our history, we have developed broad experience in the public and private sectors alike, working with corporations, community- and faith-based organizations, government agencies, and the philanthropic sector. We have developed a nationwide network of partners who have a history of trust within the communities they serve. Our commitment to meaningful collaboration on the ground helps us and our clients accomplish more than we ever could alone. We work on issues that are important to communities in need, including parent engagement in their childs early learning, parenting skills, access to quality health care, eliminating physical and mental health disparities, preventing and addressing human trafficking, and workforce development.Urban Strategies is a company that: provides support to organizations and projects throughout the United States and manages project staff in various locations (Washington, DC metro area; New Jersey; California; and Texas);demonstrates capabilities in program development and management, communications and outreach, and training and capacity building services;coordinates extensive partnerships across diverse communities, particularly Hispanic communities;understands the challenges facing marginalized communities and the agencies serving them and;is trusted by the communities we serve.
