- Patrick Henry Family Services (PHFS) is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian ministry serving children & families for over 55 years. Our Visions is To meet the needs of every child before us, resulting in the maximum impact for that child, in the shortest time possible, in the most efficient way possible, always in a loving and professional manner.The Brookneal VA campus is the administrative site of Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes, as well as three residential homes for children. In addition we have satellite homes for children in Bedford, Cluster Springs, & Rustburg, serving children 6-18. HFT Counseling Centers serve the public as well as Patrick Henry residents and their families. For more info visit hatcreekcamps.orgThe Conference Center at Hat Creek is a beautiful facility offering year round retreat & conference services to churches, businesses, and civic groups. Safe Families for Children works with local churches to provide temporary services to children. Currently, Safe Families for Children, Virginia works with those 18 and older.The Straight Talk Radio program can be heard daily with 1 minute segments airing on Spirit FM at 7:20 am and 4:20 pm. A full 30 minute program can be heard on WLNI each Sunday morning.PHFS is a Christian ministry, but not affiliated with any particular church or denomination. As a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt corporation, PHFS operates on voluntary contributions from individuals, churches, businesses, organizations and foundations.
