• Pacific Rim Partners is a private firm based in the United States and Japan that invests in (and sometimes acts as an advisor to) growing companies that seek to capitalize on the opportunity to do business between the US and Japan.We are involved in a diverse range of businesses including consumer retail products, mobile and software technologies, media and entertainment, real estate, energy, aerospace and defense, financial services, and infrastructure.Since 2008, we have greatly increased our principal activities with the signing of exclusive development agreements and joint ventures with major consumer products manufacturers, retail and restaurant chains, and other related fields. In this manner, large companies in the US can continue their international initiatives and leave the navigation and development of Japanese markets to us. As of 2010, these exclusive agreements include one of the worlds largest producers of bottled water; one of the fastest growing household products companies in the US; a very large apparel retailer with approximately 1000 US retail stores, as well as acting as exclusive distributor for other widely known products in beverages and food. We are also developing a high growth US frozen yogurt chain and a US chicken wing fast food chain in our capacity as exclusive area development partner. Our past projects have included working with leading defense contractors, technology and equipment providers, and software and services providers in both the US and Japan to achieve cross border objectives.We make considerable investments in all of our projects and are funded by our own working capital.Our greatest asset is a deep knowledge of the tremendous cultural gap between the US and Japan, and a proven ability to navigate it successfully. It is far more complicated than even well read people think!Most of our professional staff is today domiciled in our Tokyo office to best manage the growth of our business portfolio.
