Our mission is to continually exceed industry standards through the development and implementation of innovative operational and medical strategies, as well as through our relationships with the University at Buffalo, State University of New York School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and various clinical health systems. We thank you for considering UBNS to meet your healthcare or educational needs. As a regional referral center for neurosurgical disorders, we have a large and varied patient base. In the past year we served more than 9,300 patients, and performed more than 1,800 neurosurgical and 1,700 endovascular procedures. Our physicians regularly conduct cutting-edge research in neuroendovascular, spine, skull base, neuro-oncology, and pediatric neurosurgery. Our Toshiba Stroke Research Center is unsurpassed in the world, and is widely known for translational research that allows the latest innovations in neurovascular treatment to be transferred directly from the lab to the clinical setting for immediately observable results. We are moving research to patient care at an impressive rate. UBNS believes that surgery is a treatment of last resort -one that should be reserved for patients with severe, intractable conditions. For many of our patients, surgery is not a warranted or viable treatment option. In our commitment to providing all patients with comprehensive treatment options, UBNS began offering in-house chiropractic care for the first time in August 2009 with the addition of Dr. Jon Beck to the practice.
