- 6 Bears & A Goat is a brewery located in Fredericksburg, VA, set to open this winter. We are named for our seven founders: six retirees from the U.S. Coast Guard (the Bears) and one from the U.S. Navy (the Goat). Our beer philosophy: create recipes with a distinguishable but subtle enhancement, staying true to style while enriching the customer with simply better brew. Our six flagship beers will include: Red IPA, Golden Kolsch, Rye IPA, American Pale Ale, Scottish Ale, and Irish Extra Stout. There will also be a rotating number of seasonal and limited-time brews. We are thrilled to be partnered with Chef Joy Crump and Restaurateur Beth Black of FoodE and Mercantile, who will be crafting a custom menu for the full-service restaurant located in our brew house. Our purpose is simple: create an environment with quality beer and food, where the community can gather, share stories and have some fungreat beer, great food, great atmosphere.
