• Since 1937, Triangle Family Services (TFS) has served as a safety net for families in crisis through 3 core program areas: mental health; family safety and financial stability. Triangle Family Services has been an integral part of the Triangle community for 77 years and provides effective and innovative direct services to over 5,000 families in need each year. All of TFS programs provide direct services to families and in most instances directly impact children from economically disadvantaged and/or abused homes. Last year thousands of families were assisted in at least one of the TFS' focus areas that include Family Safety, Financial Stability, and Mental Health. TFS is proud of its innovative services, which include the following:-Developing Opportunities for a Safe Environment (DOSE): One of the largest domestic abuser treatment programs in North Carolina. - Supervised Visitation: This program allows a child to have a safe visit with the non-custodial parent in a domestic abuse situation. -Consumer Credit Counseling Services: We offer in-depth financial analysis and training on budget building, bill paying and credit -Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA): Families facing homelessness because of financial crisis come to EHA -Mental Health: This program offers counseling by licensed clinicians and psychiatrists through a multi-disciplinary approach that ensures each client receives the most effective treatment possible.TFS demonstrates an unprecedented, high standard of accountability and sustainability. TFS maintains four major designations: A United Way of the Greater Triangle Agency of Excellence, a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency and accreditation by the Council on Accreditation. These credentials not only set TFS apart but offer additional layer of confidence and accountability that the community, program participants, and supporters can depend on and trust.
