• Youthtopia Beverages provides attractive, healthy, great-tasting beverages that are designed to promote an active lifestyle and fight against diabetes and obesity. The company was founded by Brenda Jones, MD, CEO, and Ron Fuqua, COO.Dr. Jones graduated from Brown University, Providence, RI, and after acquiring her MD, completed a surgical specialty in ophthalmology, ultimately establishing a successful private practice. She joined the US Naval Reserves and rose to the rank of LT. Commander prior to resigning her commission in late 1999. She is also a tennis enthusiast, and a force to be reckoned with on the court.Mr. Fuqua attended Ferris State University, Michigan and pursued a career in Social Work and as a Probation Officer. He also started and ran Extravagant Care Services, a non-profit organization that provided programs including A.S.A.P., a youth advocate service agency, and was a key founder of the Ted Ginn Foundation, Inc.Their combined experience working with the community, and in particular the problems they saw facing our youth, motivated them to provide a comprehensive approach to the particular issues of childhood diabetes and obesity. As a result, they formed Youthopia Beverages Brands to create great tasting beverages, promote an active lifestyle, and fight against obesity and diabetes in kids.
