• In 2008, Seattle-based Ecocruise was born with the vision of developing 100% pure electric vehicles for consumer, commercial and municipal uses. All of the company's vehicles plug into standard outlets and have low operating costs. The Ecocruise consumer line includes fun neighborhood electric vehicles, a revolutionary golf cart and, in late 2016, two electric motorcycles and an electric scooter. Ecocruise's commercial and municipal vehicles include a fantastic all-electric replacement for the nation's aging gas-powered parking enforcement fleet, a pick-up style vehicle, and a delivery van. All three are based on the same excellent three-wheeled platform. With the rising importance of reducing carbon emissions, Ecocruise expects all three commercial models to enjoy strong acceptance with parking enforcement agencies, parks and recreation departments, schools and utilities. Other potential customers include larger educational and corporate campuses, companies with local delivery and service requirements, resorts, planned communities and myriad other organizations interested in lowering both their carbon emissions and their operating costs. The company was founded by Steve Leighty. Before Ecocruise, Steve founded Kasea Motorsports in 1989. For almost 20 years, Kasea imported affordable, quality built, and street legal scooters from China into the US, enabling enthusiasts to enjoy, own and ride them at much lower costs than competing models. With Kasea's success, Steve developed substantial expertise in designing and producing motor vehicles and distributing them worldwide. After the economic dip that followed the tragic events of 9/11, Steve retired Kasea and began planning the introduction of Ecocruise.
