• PDI is a non profit ambulatory facility, specializing in treating the number one epidemic among Northern California Children: early childhood caries.Mission: To maintain a sustainable dentistry resource that will serve the children of Northern California who need safe sedation for dental treatment and to provide prevention education and promote oral health.Our clinical team of dentists, medical anesthesiologists, pediatric nurses, registered dental assistants work to remove extensive tooth decay and perform extractions, fillings, crowns and baby root canals (pulpotomies)PDI's two operating rooms are open Tuesday through Friday, treating about 10 children a day. Patients come to PDI Surgery Center after being referred to us by a health clinic, hospital or primary care provider. Because all surgeries require general anesthesia, the child must be healthy enough for major surgery. We are located in Windsor, California, in Sonoma County. However we treat children from all over Northern California - more than 27 counties. We are the only non-profit dental surgery center in Northern California dedicated in treating children who suffer with an average of 10 cavities.The average age of our patients is 3.5. PDI Surgery Center is funded my public insurances, community and private grants, and private funding.
