- NaTakallam We Speak in Arabicis a social enterprise connecting Syrian refugees with Arabic learners worldwide for language practice over Skype. Refugees face tremendous work restrictions and language barriers in their host countries. Our goal is to leverage the internet economy to provide opportunities for refugees to gain livelihoods as Arabic conversation partners and language tutors. At the same time, NaTakallam is more than just a language class it is a cross-cultural exchange, a way to challenge stereotypes, and an opportunity to build unique friendships for both student and tutor. We offer conversation sessions, formal lessons in colloquial (amiyah) & classical written Arabic (fusha), written Arabic translation, and Arabic interpretation. Our services are affordable, flexible and tailored to each individual needs. All levels of Arabic are welcome.
