We represent taxpayers in disputes with Californias state and local tax agencies at the administrative level and in court. Our founder, Mardiros H. Marty Dakessian has 17 years of experience in this area. He started his career working for two different members of the State Board of Equalizationfirst as graduate research assistant to the Honorable Dean Andal and then as Legal Counsel to the Honorable Claude Parrish, the current Orange County Tax Assessor. Legal publication Law 360 has twice named him Tax MVP and he has been named a Super Lawyer twice as well. Immediately before starting Dakessian Law, Marty was an equity partner at Reed Smith, a Global 20 law firm. We have chosen to limit our practice to one areaCalifornia tax controversybecause we are passionate about vindicating taxpayer rights.
