Description

Zymera is a privately held nanobiotechnology company pioneering the commercialization of luciferase activated red to near infrared (NIR) emitting quantum dot technologies for pre-clinical in vivo imaging and as an analytical platform for molecular detection. Zymera's unique Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer Quantum Dot (BRET-Qdot) nanoprobes are conjugated with Qdot nanocrystals (Life Technologies) which show distinct, detectable emission wavelengths of 605, 625, 655, 705, and 800 nm. BRET-Qdot nanoprobes conjugated with streptavidin ([BRET-Qdot]-SA) are a novel bioluminescence technology for in vivo and in vitro detection of biomarkers recognized by biotinylated antibodies. The [BRET-Qdot]-SA nanoprobes are useful for both fluorescence and bioluminescence, however assay sensitivity is greatly improved using bioluminescence. Zymera offers contract services for conjugations of client-directed proteins, peptides or small molecules.
