    Description

    • A long time ago, 1835 to be exact, Henderson Edwards built a house way out in the country in eastern North Carolina. The homestead, as we call it, was built at the intersection of two roads and thus Edwards Crossroads began. The Edwards family that came across the big water (Atlantic Ocean in country talk) in 1620 has had many woodworkers. Some became very skilled at this craft and were able to support their families. Aaron also grew up around woodworkers. Two of his biggest influencers were Melvin and Alvin Edwards, who are long-time residents of Edwards Crossroads. From making pinewood racecars for his church group of Royal Ambassadors, to making toy houses out of scrap wood, Aaron always had a strong desire to work with wood. With Aarons passion of smoking and grilling meats, he noticed a lack of high quality cutting and serving boards that were both practical and attractive. With the knowledge and skill that he developed throughout the years, he has created boards that are as functional as they are beautiful. Not only are the boards handmade and individually unique, but each one is created with care and attention to detail. With the help of his family (wife, Beth, and their 3 boys), Edwards Crossroads was born.
