• A. Muñoz Consulting is a new-age Consultation & Advocacy Firm based in South Texas and has experience working with major non-profits in Southern California. Our Founder, Apolonio Apple E. Muñoz III has been working in the non-profit realm for over a decade at various levels from one-on-one client interaction to board member development. Apolonio also has been a vocal advocate for many complex issues such as Latino, Veterans, LGBT , mental illness and homelessnes. As an openly gay war time Veteran who lives with moderate to severe PTSD and at one time was homeless, he has direct first-hand experience in these hot button issues, and in most cases has been on the front lines fighting for the rights and benefits for these communities. Apolonio has served on many local, regional and National non-profit boards, and volunteered with many local non-profit organizations in Southern California. Some of this include: Los Angeles Homeless Authoritys Live Experience Advisory Group, Los Angeles Leather Coalition/Los Angeles Leather Pride, San Gabriel Valley Veterans Employment Committee, Southern California Veterans Employment Committee, American Veterans for Equal Rights, Greater Los Angeles Chapter of American Veterans for Equal Rights, Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Los Angeles County Veterans Advisory Commission, Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative, 211 LA County, San Gabriel Valley Stand Down, Compton Stand Down, Vet Hunters Project, CA Veterans Forum. Apolonio is a has received the following certifications by the US. Dept of Veterans Affairs Certified Veteran Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), a Community Integration Specialist (CIS), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Certified .
