• ActivityPal Inc, the next generation mobile messaging and social networking app, announced that it has tied up its Series A funding round. The investor is Sameer Gehlaut, Chairman and Co-founder of the $3.2 Billion Indiabulls group. ActivityPal has offices in San Francisco, Seattle and London. The company is in stealth mode currently and set for its product launch in late May 2014. The funding will be allocated to product development, additional hiring, launch and the user acquisition campaign. About the investorSameer Gehlaut is Chairman and Co-Founder of Indiabulls Group. Under Mr. Gehlaut's leadership Indiabulls Group has grown in size and stature in the last decade to becoming one of the leading diversified business houses in India. For the last financial year ending March 31st 2013, Indiabulls Group reported revenues of $ 1.07 billion and net income of $ 238 million. Mr. Gehlaut received a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. About ActivityPal IncActivityPal has been founded by Abhay Vardhan and Ike Singh. Ike Singh worked at Microsoft for 7 years in the Mobility team focused on channel development and social collaboration related roles. Abhay Vardhan worked with Google in Search and is a PHD in Computer Sciences from University of Illinois. Prior to his PHD, Abhay received a Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois and a B Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
