In order for this to happen, the adults in the system must be willing to use student learning goals to drive each and every decision around curriculum, instruction, assessment, and climate. We believe that Elevated Achievement Group is the new face of strategic professional learning because this very unique organization is disciplined, and includes thoughtfully developed processes, structures, and opportunities. Our mission is to partner with schools and districts to elevate student achievement through a disciplined process of continuously increasing student ownership of their learning. We understand that effective teachers have the most direct impact on increasing student performance, as well as impacting the number of students who graduate from K-12 schooling with the skills and knowledge necessary to be college and career ready. Effective school leaders attract and retain highly qualified staff, promote and support active parents and an engaged community, and understand what the research tells us that providing students with a highly effective teacher that continually evaluates impact is the single most important factor when it comes to improving student achievement. This plan requires educators to be actively engaged in the learning, not merely participants. It requires student learning be the focus, not merely an afterthought or by-product. It requires every stakeholder to fully engagenot just teachers. It leads to more effective and efficient instructional decisions. In other words, student achievement will be positively impacted when educators become professional learners, at the center of decision making.
