- Partnership for LA Schools is a non-profit built in collaboration with the City, LAUSD and over 1,000 public and private partners. As one of the largest urban turnaround organizations in the nationthe same size as Santa Monica-Malibu Unifiedthe Partnership is transforming 16 of LAUSDs lowest performing schools in Boyle Heights, Watts, and South LA.The Partnership currently serves 15,000 students, has 1,400 school-site employees and 40 home-office staff, and it brings innovations to scale with an in-district reform model that benefits all students.Last year, the Partnership schools outperformed the district and state in every subject area covered by the California Standards Tests, (CSTs). Moreover, the Partnership was the # 1 improving mid- to large-size school district in the state last year, the year before that, and over the last five years according to the Academic Performance Index, (API).
