- Families First of Florida, LLC is committed to providing effective and quality mental health services to enhance the lives of children and their families. Families First of Florida started in 2001 after the privatization of the child welfare system in the State of Florida providing Therapeutic Foster Care, Recruitment and Training of Licensed Foster Homes and Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments. Beginning in 2012 Families First of Florida has enhanced their scope of services for children involved in the child welfare system to provide a more comprehensive and trauma sensitive approach to mental health counseling. Recognizing a gap in services and supports for children and families in the system, Families First of Florida developed a team of experienced child welfare professionals to create wrap around services for the child to include coaching for the caregivers (foster, adoptive, group home and biological) utilizing a trauma informed paradigm. Families First of Florida provides mental health services for children and adolescents to include Outpatient Therapy (individual, family, therapeutic visitations, group therapy, parenting), Targeted Case Management, Department of Juvenile Justice Offender Reintegration Therapy, Adolescent Substance Abuse Program, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Therapeutic Foster Care and Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments (CBHA) Services serving the child welfare and community populations throughout the state of Florida.
