• As a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, Light of Hearts Villa is the place for seniors to enjoy worry-free living. Our aging in place philosophy is characterized by professional care that allows our residents to be light of heart despite lifes challenges. It was once Lumen Cordium, (Latin for light of hearts) an all girls high school. In the late 1980s the Vincentian Sisters, now Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, realized a need for senior housing in the area and decided to transform Lumen Cordium. Since 1989, our assisted living campus has met the needs of the senior population by providing Independent, Assisted Living, Memory and Respite Care. Should residents have the need, we assist those who qualify to transition onto the Medicaid Waiver program without having to move off premise. All in all, the resident is the center of all we do at Light of Hearts Villa. We offer a variety of affordable, spacious, private suites, each equipped with a kitchenette, private bath/shower, and other amenities. Plentiful activities and individualized care plans help residents maintain a good quality of life. Activities include our very own voice and bell choir, guided exercise, Tai Chi, Bible study, Catholic and Ecumenical services, happy hour, and outings such as ballgames, shopping, and scenic Sunday drives. Our dedicated staff consists of full time Licensed Nurses (24/7), Personal Care Attendants (PCA), State Test Nursing Assistants (STNA) a Licensed Social Worker, committed housekeeping, maintenance, dietary and life enrichment staff.
