• A Second Opinion was started in 1988 as a Yellow Pages Advertising Agency. At that time, yellow pages were practically the only source for consumers to find information on local businesses. Likewise, it was the main advertising method for many small and medium sized businesses. It was also a monopoly. A Second Opinion was started with the singular mission of providing business owners with another option to get advice on yellow pages advertising. Our efforts focused on providing advice that increased the cost effectiveness of yellow page advertising. Twenty years have passed and a lot has changed. From a yellow pages perspective the two biggest changes have been that publishers are now in competition with each other and the Internet. Both of these changes have provided opportunity for the small business owner. They have also made things considerably more complicated. We help small businesses manage these complexities and take advantage of the opportunities this landscape has changed. We do this by focusing on the consumer. The consumer just wants find the information they want in the fastest possible way. Now, that hasnt changed at all, has it? Another thing that hasnt changed is our mission. We are still providing advice that makes advertising in the local space, whether its the yellow pages or the Internet, as effective as possible. This is just as important today as it was 20 years ago.
