    • Unusual Efforts is a collaborative soccer project, completely run by/written/produced/controlled/etc by women. Our ultimate goal is to become a one-stop shop for women to get involved in the game, be it writing, designing, graphics, photography, videography, podcasting, up to eventual networking and mentoring. The goal isn't only to talk about women's issues or to establish an audience solely of women, but rather to demonstrate that women can and should deserve a bigger role in talking about soccer. The project begins with a free-to-access website (launching April 1). The site will feature voices from around the globe, telling the stories of soccer often ignored by traditional media. A beautifully-designed journal featuring some of the most talented women's voices is set to follow (June 1). Future plans include hosting podcasts, disseminating video, and creating a mentoring program for those looking to launch their careers in soccer media.
