- Radcals beginning can be traced back to 1975 when Radcal (then MDH) designed the 1015 for the USA FDA. They needed to measure medical X-ray dose, dose rate and time without having to change the range or experience the loss of accuracy when interchanging ion chambers. The 1015, commonly referred to as The MDH, introduced new technology to the industry. With the Radcal Gold Standard ion chambers, users experienced unmatched performance, accuracy, ease of use and reliability. Today, over 35 years later, many 1015s are still in active use around the world. Radcal will continue to provide the Gold Standard quality of ion chambers. Utilizing todays technology, Radcal now has the capability of combining ion chambers with solid state detectors where both are useable in one device, the Radcal Accu-Gold.
