- Island Oasis was introduced to the Boston food service market in 1984 when it releasedthe first all-natural, super-premium strawberry daiquiri mix. Made with only the finestingredients and delivered frozen to bars and restaurants, the products overwhelming localresponse soon allowed for the development of new flavors and a wider distribution.The company set out to become the first complete frozen drink program. It researchedand invented the worlds first shaver blender, increased its variety of mixes and offeredongoing service and customized point-of-sale to its accounts. The Island Oasis namebecame synonymous with frozen drinks so rapidly that by the late 1980s, the food serviceindustry was forced to make room for an entirely new frozen drink category.Today, as the unquestionable leader in the category it created, Island Oasis provides mixes,equipment and services to over twenty-five countries on five continents.
