- RAS Track Services was formed in 2007 as part of R. A. Schaeffer Co., Inc. (RAS) to provide consulting, service design, and engineering to clients interested in developing or expanding all types of rail-served facilities. Sustained growth in both projects and clients as a division of RAS led to the formation of RITD as a separate, independent company in 2014. Our company and our name may be relatively new but our officers and directors have over 135 years of combined experience in all phases of freight railroad project development, construction, maintenance, and operation Railroad Infrastructure & Terminal Development, LLC (RITD) works with our clients at every phase of freight railroad project development from the earliest conceptual brain-storming track ideas to post-construction track inspection. We do this through consulting, design & engineering, project management, and track inspection services that are specifically tailored to the railroad needs of each client. We work closely with our clients and representatives of the serving Railroad, to develop efficient, safe, and maintainable railroad solutions through well-designed railroad infrastructure and operating plans. This allows our clients to confidently develop, expand, or improve their railroad facilities to meet both current and future logistical requirements. RITD has a full professional staff consisting of civil engineers, designers, CADD technicians, and administrative personnel. Our technical and administrative staff is committed to a high work standard and operates with integrity and discipline. We continually strive to provide the best service possible to our valued future and current clients
