• Raising more than $5.7 million for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the past 21 years, UGA Miracle is the leading student-run philanthropy at the University of Georgia and the 2nd largest annual donor to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Each year, more than 2,500 students come together to champion the patients treated each day at Children's. Its capstone event, Dance Marathon, lasts a full 24 hours and takes place each year in late February. UGA Miracle is ranked number eight out of 300+ Dance Marathon programs across North America. Within Miracle, there are 11 committees that each contribute in specialized ways towards our overall organizational success. These committees include Corporate Relations, Fundraising, Hospital Relations, Community Outreach, Family Relations, Morale, Recruitment, Community Partners, Alumni Relations, Greek Relations, Member Development, Media and Underclassmen Programs. UGA Miracle, in particular, works closely with the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (CIRU) at Scottish Rite Hospital. The CIRU is one of the many direct beneficiaries of UGA Miracle's efforts. UGA Miracle is the largest annual donor to the Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics department at Children's every year.In addition to our financial support of Children's Healthcare of Altanta, we work directly with over 60 Miracle families. Every one of these families has an incredible story of how Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta has benefited them.
