• The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that cultivates creative opportunity, peer-to-peer learning, deepened appreciation andbroader awareness of the mediums traditions, current conditions and future possibilities. NCECAs conferences, exhibitions, media resources, publications, fellowship and residency opportunities,and special programs advance professional, aesthetic, critical, art historical and technical concerns related to teaching, learning and creation in ceramic art.Since 1966, NCECA has sustained a network through which great teaching methods, art and research are shared, advanced and celebrated. This journey began with fewer than 100 membersteaching in about 80 universities. Today, NCECAs 4000-5000 members work worldwide in contexts that include private studios, community organizations, galleries, museums, publishing andresearch, K-12 schools, institutions of higher learning, businesses and services to the field. Membership in and support for NCECA insure that discourse, expression and learning in ceramic artand education continue to thrive.
