- FPY is a 501-C-3 agency that delivers essential community education and training, advocates for effective programs and policy development, and builds strong community partnershipsto help youth thrive. FPYs three key functions are:(1) Delivering Essential Community Education and Training, (2) Advocating for Effective Programs and Policy Development, and (3) Building Strong Community Partnerships define our role in the community as we pursue our mission, to lead the community to embrace positive, sustainable solutions to youth challenges.FPY takes a whole child, whole community approach to teen suicide prevention. There is no quick, easy fix that prevents destructive behaviors, toward oneself or toward others. Coordinated, systemic strategies must be in place to bolster the resilience of youth in the face of hardship, promote empathy, and provide effective supports and treatment when youth are overcome with emotional or environmental challenges. FPY is involved in myriad activities related to suicide prevention and intervention for this reason.
