- Day Off, Go Vote is a nonpartisan organization with the goal of advocating for a paid day off for employees on Election Day. We believe that a fundamental shift in corporate culture toward providing a day off to vote is an important step to build a healthy representative democracy. We envision a nation where occupation and financial status have no bearing on Americans ability to exercise their right to vote. Still, many Americans cite schedule conflicts with work or school as one of the primary obstacles to participating in elections. By highlighting obstacles that voters face, supplementing discussion, and providing resources, we hope to inspire workers to form coalitions and push for corporate policy changes that provide a day off to vote.
