• Tribe Bicycle Co. was founded in 2013 by two friends, Mitch Rasmussen and Wyatt Lonergan, while the pair were living abroad in Hong Kong. As cyclists and avid fixed-gear riders the two decided the current market needed a change and sought out to create something different. The idea was to create attractive, top-notch cycles for the everyday urban rider - and do so at a very reasonable cost. After a year of product development and manufacturing the pair of friends relocated from Hong Kong to Brooklyn, NY and in the Summer of 2014 officially launched Tribe.From the first concept of the Tribe, the idea of having a global identity and reflecting that within the products has always been at the forefront of the brand. The founders unique experiences traveling the globe play a huge part in the design process for Tribe. Every bicycle is therefore named and styled after a place they have visited or person they've met and have been inspired by. The color choices and branding of global coordinates on the bikes further emphasize the meaning behind each product name. Like you, each bike has a story. Through these memories Tribe has created something that truly connects with their love of travel, fun, adventure, and life.
