- Friends of the Kinni is a state-registered non-profit organization. We are a group of citizens who love the Kinnickinnic River and want to see it flowing freely through the City of River Falls. We encourage a community discussion about the future of the two dams in River Falls, Wisconsin. The process of re-licensing the dams has begun. Once every 30 years we get a chance to speak our minds about the dams and the health of the River. We believe the hydroelectric facility has outlived its usefulness, should be retired, and the dams eventually removed so that we can all enjoy the beauty of the natural falls, and our river can run free again. Help us bring the falls back to River Falls!
