The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) was organized to create a network among minorities who are employed by insurance companies or self-employed in the insurance industry. Pooling this wealth of talent contributes to the growth of the association and its members through sharing of professional experience, knowledge, and information. NAAIA founded its New York Chapter on July 14, 2004, with a mission of creating a network of insurance professionals within the Tri-State area to foster career and business opportunities. As a trade association, the Chapters membership includes executives, agents, brokers, attorneys, underwriters, and other professionals in insurance-related fields who either work or live in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. Today, our focus is on promoting the insurance industry through a variety of educational, civic, and social activities that support career advancement and business development within the communities comprising the geographical area we serve.
