• Coen Oil is a family business that opened in 1923 in Washington, PA with one location in the city selling gasoline to area motorists, and, relying on a strategy of personal service and selling quality products, the business expanded from retail to commercial fuel distribution which continues to grow.From that one facility opening over 90 years ago, the family business has become a family conglomerate with several divisions employing 450 throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. In the last 5 years, Coen has doubled its business on the retail and commercial side.Coen now operates Coen Energy, Coen Markets, Coen Tire, and Coen Transport. Coens mission is to impress and satisfy guests with every visit, and make their lives simpler. To accomplish this mission every day, Coen asks its employees to do whats right every time, embrace change, communicate transparently, and respect and value customers and team members. Its vendors are partners and the company is committed to winning and making a positive impact in the community.Coen Markets is one of the divisions that has taken off in the past few years. There are now 35 locations throughout Western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia. Coen is currently working to re-brand each site as Ruff Creek Markets.Coen Energy is the residential and commercial fueling segment of the company. Over 100 trucks serve the regions residents for their heating oil needs. Additionally, a large part of Coen Energy is now working with the drillers in the Marcellus and Utica Shale companies. Coen Energy delivers, manages and provides storage tanks, pumps, and other commercial fuel equipment needed by the drillers and other industrial companies in the area. Coen Transport serves both Coen Energy and Coen Markets, having earned a reputation for safe, on-time deliveries of its fuel tankers. Coen Tire in Washington, PA has long stood for quality tire products with superior service for area motorists.
