Geraldine Blanchot and Kristen Dettoni launched Pattern Pod, a Design Studio that focuses on artwork, product and material design and development, in early 2013. They met while working at a textile manufacturer, and over the years formed a bond that revolves around their passion for exceptional design, color, and trend research. Both Kristen and Geraldine are eternally fascinated by the various technologies that go into material fabrication and how this affects the product development output. Over the years, this has become an inherent part of their design process and is reflected in all of their Consulting work. As a full service Design Firm, they track trends, research materials and finishes, work with manufacturers, create unique artwork, develop color stories, generate reports, and develop marketing materials and strategies. They are experts in designing and developing wovens, prints, velours, knits, as well as a variety of non-wovens such as polyurethanes and vinyls. They have over 30 years of combined experience designing for commercial interiors with expertise in contract/office, hospitality and healthcare markets.Because they are far from being underachievers, Geraldine and Kristen chose to not only start a Design Consulting Firm, but also venture into technology and explore bringing their talents to the Internet. About a year ago, they created an online digital stock imagery company that offers high quality seamless pattern solutions for personal and professional use.
