• UCP of Central MN Inclusive Community | All Disabilities | Assistive Technology | Empowerment For over sixty years, UCP of Central Minnesota (UCPCM) has been serving our community by empowering people to live their best lives. UCP serves all ages of people living with a disability. UCPCM may enable a Senior with dementia to stay safely in their home instead of a care facility, help a Veteran return to work by automating a home office, advocate for children in schools and empower adolescents as they transition to adulthood to be self advocates. Disabilities, both invisible and physical, affect everyone in the community. UCPCM is passionate about equal rights for all, especially those who are meeting the challenges of living with a disability in Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties and, more recently, throughout the state of Minnesota. UCPCM collaborates with existing partners in a deliberate effort to avoid duplication of services wherever possible. This approach supports businesses while utilizing existing resources in each community we serve.Approximately 90% of monies we receive help provide local programs and services. United Cerebral Palsy National, located in Washington D.C., is where the remaining dollars, in the form of dues, go to support research and advocacy at a national level through. UCPCM is one of two Affiliates in MN and one of more than 90 affiliates nationwide.
