- Public Radio International (PRI) is a global non-profit media company focused on the intersection of journalism and engagement to empower people to benefit their lives and the world. We create a more informed, empathetic and connected world by sharing powerful stories, encouraging exploration, connecting people and cultures, and creating opportunities to help people take informed action on stories that inspire them. Our mission is to serve audiences as a distinctive content source for information, insights and cultural experiences essential to living in our diverse, interconnected world. Founded in 1983, PRIs audio, text and visual content is currently consumed by almost 18 million people each month.PRI pursues a comprehensive set of content development, partnership collaboration, and distribution initiatives each year. PRI also provides opportunities for personal engagement around our content. Through PRI.org and other platforms, we enable people to share knowledge, encourage discourse, think creatively, and seek out multiple perspectives. With our roots in public media, PRI is extending its impact through web, mobile and social media platforms.
