• Our mission is to empower, connect, and inspire individuals and organizations through programs which foster personal development, nurture community connections, and address social and environmental challenges.We envision a thriving, engaged network of people empowered to create a vital, sustainable, and collaborative cultureone which recognizes and nurtures both the human community and the natural world as integral parts of a whole.Our 100-acre Whidbey Island campus, called Chinook, and our satellite presence at Impact Hub Seattle support us in connecting with partners throughout Cascadia. Signature programs such as the Cascadia Climate Collaborative, Powers of Leadership, Community Garden Leadership Training, and Salish Sea Bioneers serve to cultivate, support, and connect empowered leaders around pressing environmental and social challenges. Through our Thriving Communities program, we support thriving communities through a whole-systems approach that connects and supports grassroots leaders across and within communities through video storytelling, annual conferences, and regional projects which provide a forum for cross-pollination of successful models, network building opportunities, and informed conversation. Our Westgarden at Chinook serves as a learning space and working garden. Organic and biodynamic produce feeds our community, provides for our kitchen, supplements the Good Cheer Food Bank, and provides opportunities in service education. our 100 acre campus serves as a classroom in which to learn better ways to live in, on, and with the Earth.
