• The Collegiate Running Association (Collegiate Running/CRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in November, 2013 with a mission to promote healthy lifestyles among college students by providing and expanding opportunities in the sport of running. As the first organization to offer prize money specifically reserved for college students in the sport of running, our vision is to offer national championship events in road racing, mountain running, and trail running that will be open to all college students enrolled in at least one class. As an organization we continue to expand opportunities and partnerships to ensure our mission as we move into the future. In 2015 the CRA held four national championship events (2 Road Races /1 Trail Race/1 Mountain Race with over 35,000 total participants in these events). In its first year (2014) the CRA held two national championship events: a 10k Road Race held within the Ukrops Monument Avenue 10K in Richmond, VA (The 3rd largest 10K in the U.S.), and a Mountain Race held in conjunction with the USATF Mountain Running Championships within the Loon Mountain Race in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Combined, these events saw nearly 3,700 college students representing 150 colleges and nearly 28,000 total participants. 2016 is shaping up to be another historic year with four national championships and several race partnerships to expand opportunities for college students.
