- The mission of Rape Advocacy, Counseling, & Education Services is to challenge the rape culture and empower victims and survivors of sexual violence through advocacy, counseling, education, crisis intervention, and activism. We also work with non-offending significant others, allied professionals, and the community at large to end all forms of sexual violence. We believe that working to end sexual violence, a widespread form of oppression that primarily victimizes women and children, is essential to building a world free of all forms of oppression.Victim services offered by our agency include:Free Individual, Group, and Family Counseling (age three and older)Free Legal Advocacy including Civil and Criminal Justice24-hour, 365 day, Confidential Rape Crisis Hotline (217-384-4444)Emergency Medical Advocacy in Local Hospital Emergency DepartmentsWe also offer free educational programming to K through high school and adult audiences and training to allied professionals.
