In November of 1983 Doug and Shirley Parker, along with Wayne Knudtsen founded Parker-Knudtsen Toyota. At the time the dealership was located at 2900 Government Way in Coeur dAlene. In October 1991 Doug & Shirley completed their new Toyota facility and moved to the corner of Hwy. 95 and Kathleen in Coeur d'Alene. The Parker Automotive Family loves to give back to the community that has taken such great care of them over the years. Community Involvement is very important to the Parker Foundation. Every year a few vehicles are donated to local schools and raffled off, all the proceeds going straight to the local High Schools. There are also a couple neat programs such as Reading With Lucky, and P.A.S.S. which are designed to further education experiences in the community.
