- UpTurnships is a non-profit preparing college students for career success through training, coaching and PAID internships during college. 'Upturns' are the best prepared summer interns and create immediate value for their employers. In their paid internships they receive:- 175+ hours of training by business executives on key skill gaps identified by employers- 225+ hours of real-work experience in marketing, business and finance fields- Ownership of real-world projects that have a positive impact on local businesses and nonprofitsThey receive direct and constant feedback on their performance throughout the summer. Their internship ends by developing an action plan for their next job hunt. They create all UpTurnship messages and are building the program into something truly amazing.UpTurnship is lead by three experienced business executives who created the organization out of concern for the rising cost of college tuition, a business community that has cut back on training and paid internships and a generation who is suffering the consequences.
