- Our Friends Place helps young women, ages 18- 24 years, break generational cycles of abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness through empowering self-reliance and independence.We operate a transitional living program which provides a supportive home for young women battling homelessness or poverty, aging out of foster care and escaping abuse, neglect or sex-trafficking. All young women living at Our Friends Place must enroll in school or a vocational program, hold a job, pay a portion of their earning as rent and savings, and attend weekly group sessions to learn life and job skills.
