• Spirit of the Sun is a non-profit organization founded in Colorado in 2002. The goal of the organization will be to promote peace, understanding, and economic and social justice among people. The organization addresses these issues by several broad means: Developing and implementing programs that promote understanding among cultures, awareness of injustice in the United States and abroad, or address specific needs related to the focus areas of the organization, such as economic and social justice Advocacy in the areas of education and world justice as it relates to the mission of the organization Providing resources through consulting and technical support to other organizations with programs that match the mission of the organization, and Building coalitions with and among organizations focusing on peace and economic and justice issues, and providing a forum for cooperation and innovation among these groups.
