- Founded in 2005, Roxy Reading Therapy Dogs is a non-profit group of certified emotional therapy dog owners/handlers who volunteer their time visiting children. Their visits include bringing comfort to children testifying at the local courthouse, promoting literacy/providing relief to elementary school children in the Central Bucks School District in their classrooms, providing joy to medically frail children at Pedia Manro, and visiting pediatric patients at Doylestown Hospital. 60 teams are read to by 1,500 children each week. Visits are absolutely no charge and the organization relies exclusively on donations for its operating expenses.
