• Our mission is to provide the highest quality mental health care that promotes empowerment, enhances wellness and strengthens our community. Laguna Psych was created out of the desire to provide mental health services to our community in a model that focuses on wellness and prevention as much as treatment. Our CEO/founder is passionate about mental health and envisioned a practice where clinicians worked hand in hand in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals served. A nurse practitioner owned psychiatric practice offers mental health care that is comprehensive and client-centered. Our nurse practitioners are all dual-certified in psychiatry/mental health and primary care which allows them to assess and treat both physical and mental health. Medications are prescribed only when needed and a plan is specific to the the individual. Our therapists bring a variety of skills and modalities to their sessions. Some therapy is brief and solution focused whereas others are more ongoing therapy, all of which can be accommodated. Additional psych/neuropsych testing services are provided by our neuropsychologist. Testing offers additional information for diagnosis, treatment planning and advocating for client needs whether in school or other environments. In addition, our office has a registered dietician on staff who brings years of expertise in pediatric, adolescent and adult nutrition. She has experience in outpatient and hospital settings and co-founded a local organization focused on school nutrition. Our clinicians meet regularly to collaborate on their mutual clients. This collaboration extends into the community where several of our clinicians give workshops and provide education to local schools/parents/law enforcement, and serve as a resource. Much of the community education is focused on decreasing the stigma of mental illness, increasing access to care and educating individuals and organizations about the facts of mental health.
