    • The Data Science Foundation is a professional body representing the interests of the Data Science industry. Its membership will consist of suppliers who offer a range of analytical and technical services and companies and individuals with an interest in the commercial advantages gained from big data. The organisation aims to raise the profile of this developing industry, to educate people about the benefits of knowledge based decision making and to encourage firms to start using big data techniques. Read more at www.datascience.foundation The official launch of the Data Science Foundation will take place on 1st June 2016. Organisations and individuals who join the Data Science Foundation before 1st June 2017 will be able to refer to themselves as Founder Members and will be given special status within the organisation Membership to the Foundation from 1st June 2016 through to 31st May 2017 will be on an invitation only basis. The Foundation will make contact with certain individuals and organisations inviting them to join and will operate a waiting list for all other applications. To join the waiting list visit www.datascience.foundation complete the Join Us Form in the Membership Area and follow the on screen instructions. If an application is approved, a login account will be created for the new member and confirmation will be sent by email. The number of applications accepted into each category of membership is restricted. The Foundation will accept new members from the waiting twice a year. Applicants will be notified by email of intake dates. If an application is rejected any membership fees paid to the Foundation as part of the application process will be refunded in full.
