- Dedicated to the management and stewardship of wildlife preserves, conservation easements, and mitigation lands, The PCCA focuses on the development of preserve management strategies, design and implementation of scientific study-based adaptive management plans, development and application of standardized as well as innovative methods of long-term ecosystem monitoring, and general stewardship services for open space and biologically sensitive properties.The PCCA's current field focus is a 5-year study of the bats of the Central Coast of California (Central Coast Bat Survey), which focuses on:1. Youth education about bats;2. Habitat enhancement to create more bat-friendly environments; and3. A survey of the occurring species of bats along the central coast, their distributions, and period of occurrence & activity; and4. The interrelationships between vineyard agriculture and bat, bat foraging, and bat responses to enhancements. The PCCA also acts as a philanthropic entity by channeling donations into grant programs focused in three geographic areas:1. The Imperial Valley of California2. San Diego County3.
