    Description

    • Ourside youth centre was opened a few years ago by a group of Young People who campaigned and raised loads of money over four years, to make Ourside happen. The founding group of Young People are now Young Adults but are as committed as ever to the project. Ourside Youth Association was incorporated as Company Limited by Guarantee on 23rd July 2012. The board of directors at the start were made up from some of the Ourside Originals and someone who used the centre. We were successful in getting the Positive Activities money to keep the centre open. Ourside Youth Association officially took over the running of the Ourside Youth Centre in January 2013. Ourside was then awarded charitable status in March 2013 which helps to make the Ourside Youth Association a viable and sustainable youth centre.
