• We are an independent entertainment company that distributes theatrical films that have been produced outside of the major studios, with a focus on films produced in the American Southwest. Although our main focus is on film distribution, we also package and produce selected films; however, in order to mitigate the risks associated with independent film production, we partner with other independent production companies, talent agencies, small studios and other independent (and, when possible, established) distributors. These productions include both 35mm film and HD (high definition) digital feature films. The economic commercialization of film properties has been affected by technological advances, primarily expanding methods of distribution and exhibition in ancillary markets such as pay-per-view television, video-on-demand direct to the consumers personal computer, and streaming video over emerging broadband markets; we compete in these new arenas through early adoption and aggressive exploitation of these technologies and platforms. Domestic box office revenues represent a shrinking percentage of film revenues, especially for independent feature films. Digital Video Disc (DVD) sales have also been affected, as more and more consumers download content direct from services such as Netflix. However, even limited theatrical release greatly increases the value of ancillary markets, and we promote domestic theatrical release of our properties whenever possible through regional theater chains and independently owned theaters.
