- Edelweiss is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with special needs. Edelweiss strives to nurture independence confidence, and trust through the use of horses as alternative therapy in a safe and stimulating environment. Edelweiss provides horseback riding experience for children and adults who are mentally, physically, socially, behaviorally, and/or emotionally challenged. Edelweiss is affiliated with PATH Int'l (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship), which is the national organization that sets standards for therapeutic riding.
